Also: Focus RS will get 350hp and AWD.

"Ford's solved the second-order vibration issue by attaching a big, honking vibration damper on the end of the crankshaft. That seems to do the trick. However, when !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , those same secondary vibrations backed a bolt out of the car's starter, shutting down the entire electrical system while the car was going pretty fast. That's bad. However, the SVT boys and girls have taken the necessary steps and have essentially beefed up the Mustang's accessories for GT350 duty. We hear they've had one spinning happily at 7500 rpm for quite some time for a durability test."

I've been lucky enough to drive cars with small displacement V8 sorcery. It's by far the most exciting way to burn hydrocarbons.

Yeah, the GT-R's fast, but soulless.

I'll take V8 soul. Mustang's in particular, should have V8's.

Such a pity the Trinity V8 is left to waste.

Hey, Im 1st in line for V8s. Im the guy that says LS all things. I dont know about soulless though.

Kinja'd!!!

I will say however, it may be easier, cheaper, more reliable. To get the power/performance Ford is looking for out of the 3.5

Of course they could, but that's not the point, is it? And isn't that what the GT500 is for, racing from stoplight to stoplight?

Like the 302 they are setting out to build a high revving n/a track monster. With a V8 as god intended all Mustangs to have.

Not just 350hp and AWD, but torque vectoring on BOTH axles. That's impressive.

The GT500? Maybe, but it posted faster lap times than the Boss 302LS at VIR during C&D Lightning Lap.

You wanna be faster or do you want to watch a tach climb? Watching a boost gauge climb is just as fun imo. And, Im with you on the V8 thing. Its my weapon of choice. Also, Im not a fan of the sounds a flat plane V8 makes, not very V8ish. My opionion though.

Ill ditch the V6 idea for a 6+ liter Coyote derived motor though.

the GT500 posted faster times, but every comparison between the two will tell you the 302 is more fun and engaging to drive.

Driving a Ferrari 360 made me a fan of the flat plane V8. Will take it over whooshy turbos any day.

I am convinced that one of these will be the first ever flat plane crank engined car to be fitted with a magnaflow.

I cant argue with more fun and engaging. Going from a ZR1 to a Z06 gives the same impression. But the ZR1 was clearly faster.
